The Season’s First Rain

There are some for whom sunshine brings happiness. For me, I think its that first rainfall of the season.

I dont know what it is about the rain that makes it so attractive - the smell of the soil, the pitter patter of the raindrops against your window, the cold breeze gently dancing in your hair as you watch the water drip off the blades of grass..

and when you look up to that gray sky, you’re suddenly filled with a rush of memories...

More than anything else, the rain makes everything look fresh and new. As the sky clears after a heavy storm, everything around looks as if transformed..
It seems as if the rainwater washes the dust off the old, and gives a fresh start to everything it touches... 

A new beginning... and who doesn’t need one of those...
